You are helping tto keep the material out of landfills, supporting the upcycling movement.
They are easy care and convenient for lots of things. Babies can't hurt them. Neither can dogs, cats or - well, that's all we have around us, but you are welcome to test and tell us!
They stand up to rugged use.
But they also carry folders and files with room for your wallet and keys and other business essentials. You can supply yourself with smaller bags to fit inside the larger bags, making yourself incredibly eco-friendly!
They travel well. Even the largest fits conveniently under an airline seat.
They make great gifts because they are unique and are helping to keep the earth viable for future generations.
We are continuing to create new styles and we welcome new ideas.
Hope you can visit!
Care for your Sak n' Sak bag
Please test a small part of the bag for colorfastness first when using soap products. We use 7th Generation or other naturally made, non-toxic products to first wash the banners before we cut and sew and again, each piece after it's cut. Some banners will lose their color if scrubbed with a soap that contains bleach. Yes, we've tried products to see what the effects are and they vary with the banner material. All vinyl is not created equal! Please read the labels of the soap products you might be using. Eco-friendly is always best!
Sister City bag one side
The San Jose/Okayama Sister City bags have great wrap around images. What you see on one side is not what you see on the other. We thought we'd show you one side - and the other!
Bags are often a different pattern front and on the reverse side. Our goal is to use as much of the banners we are are working with as possible. If you see something you like but want to see the other side of the bag, please email us. Sometimes bags are sold, but we haven't had time to update the website. So we ask for your understanding!
Conversely, often, we've made more bags and they are in stock in the store! So, we can send you photos of what we have if you can specify general size, shape and color. Thank you.

We want to keep our skies clear and our banners out of the landfill!

If you have any questions at all, we are always available by email.
These Japantown San Jose banners can be seen hanging on Japantown San Jose poles as of this writing. Because these banners were 'see-through' on the poles, they were going to be disposed of. New banners with a lining between the front and back sides of each banner were constructed and hung on the banner poles.
It was Sak n' Sak's intent to do something with the banners rather than have them go to the landfill. And because the design is so intricate, the colors so beautiful we decided to go ahead with our idea!
Please call us if you have banners you'd like to get rid of and think you might want bags to sell of your own, email us! We are in Silicon Valley and sew from our own homes.
